Giving back, it’s part of the plan.

One of the most valuable aspects of private business is the ability to give back to our community.  White Mountains Tree Service has built giving back into our business plan. We have outlined time to find ways to give more to others, more specifically on the local level.  It is a dream that Patrick and I have had for years.  When we got married, we vowed publicly to give ourselves whole heartedly to God, one another, and our children; behind closed doors we have revisited those vows through endless conversations of how we will continue to serve God in our marriage and how we will teach the value of giving to our children. We aren’t wealthy in the common sense of the word, in fact, we are very middle class.  We have 6 children, so time is always a factor.  Then we add the intricacies of a blended family to the mix.  As you can imagine, time becomes even more limited.  So how can one little family and one small business give more?

There are the obvious answers, like providing free tree services to non-profits and churches in town.  Sure, we are always happy to discuss that with those folks in need.  The truth is, to give back and have a chance at making a big difference, we need to give money and time.  The two things we run short on.  While every donation makes a difference, certain donations make a more lasting impact.  White Mountains Tree Service is finding ways to give money.  We are entrusting the expertise of the non-profits we elect, to use the money they receive in the best manner for their cause.  The way we see it, we can try and donate tree services to local organizations, but that difference simply isn’t enough to impact the whole community.  Our solution: a matching gift program. 

In August and September, we are throwing a “baby shower” for Living Hope.  If you donate one of the items from their registry, we will give you 10% off on your tree service needs if your estimate is scheduled before September 30, 2021, and your tree service is completed before October 31, 2021.  If you elect to help us raise money for Living Hope, by cutting them a check for the 10% discount you received on your tree service, we will match the donation up to $1500/month for August and September. 

We are asking you to join us in giving back to our local community.   We figure it is a win, win, win situation.  You get 10% off your tree service, the folks able and willing to give money to Living Hope get the joy of giving 2x the money to a local non-profit.  Living Hope gets to fulfill their registry needs and bring in additional money to serve our community.  Patrick and I get to instill the values we believe in with our children.
